Speaking in the age of AI

AI can write your speech. It can't stand up and give it.

Now anyone can generate the words. What sets you apart is how you say them: in the interview, in the meeting and on the stage. It's the one skill no app can do for you, and the Dojo is where you train it.

Why it works

You can't learn to box by watching fights.

Speaking is a physical skill. You build it the way fighters do: drill a skill, use it under pressure, get one clear note, and go again. Harvard researchers found people learn more by doing, even though it feels harder than being lectured.

From the mat to the mic

Built like a fight gym.

Kain trains in boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and he's competed on the mat. Fighters don't get better by watching. They drill, they spar, they take one honest note from their coach, and they earn their belts. Dialog Dojo trains your voice the same way.

  1. DrillOne skill at a time, until it's yours. Drill day, every Tuesday.
  2. SparUse it on something real, under a little pressure. Spar day, every Thursday.
  3. CoachOne clear note after every rep, from Kain and your training partners.
  4. BeltEarned at Grading Week, never bought, and awarded at Fight Night.
Who it's for

Built for people who have to speak.

Nervous speakers

Your heart races before you talk. You want that gone, for good.

People who blank

Your mind goes blank the moment everyone looks at you, and the words you prepared disappear.

Overwhelmed speakers

Too many thoughts, too little time, and it all comes out rushed and jumbled.

Professionals who present

Meetings, pitches and updates, where how you sound decides how you're seen.

New and rising leaders

You need people to listen, follow and act on what you say.

Founders and sellers

Every pitch and every call has money on the line.

Job seekers

Interviews where one answer can change your year.

Accent and clarity

Reduce a strong accent and speak with clarity, so people understand you the first time.

English as a second language

You know what to say. Now say it with confidence.

How it works

Two classes a week. One skill at a time.

Every week has one element. You drill it on Tuesday and use it on something real on Thursday. Classes are live on Zoom at 8pm Singapore time.

Tuesday · Drill day

Drill the skill

  1. LearnKain teaches the skill and shows you what it looks like
  2. Warm upA whole-room game to get everyone talking
  3. RepSmall groups, timed reps on the Room Screen, feedback after every rep
  4. ExtraStay on for questions and extra coaching (optional)
Thursday · Spar day

Use it for real

  1. BringSomething you actually have to say: a pitch, a presentation, an interview answer
  2. Rep 1Deliver it, then get feedback from your partners
  3. Rep 2Deliver it again, better, and hear the difference

What you train

The 7 elements of a voice people listen to.

Each element has five levels. Every level takes away a support or adds pressure, so you keep growing without being thrown in the deep end.

01

Foundations

Breath, posture, eye contact and nerves. The base everything else stands on.

Confidence is key.
02

Speed

Change pace on purpose so people follow you and feel what matters.

How to make people really listen.
03

Volume

Quiet and strong, used on purpose. The range that keeps a room awake.

The life of your voice.
04

Rhythm and Melody

Pitch and rhythm that move, so your voice never goes flat and your key words land.

The music your voice plays.
05

Emotion

Feeling in your voice, so people connect with you as well as your point.

Emotions run the world.
06

Pause

Silence that makes people lean in, and lets your best lines land.

The loudest noise in speaking is the pause.
07

Storytelling

Turn your experience into stories people remember and repeat.

The biggest lever of human connection.

Feel the difference in one rep

Kain has taught boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and the Dojo runs the same way a good gym does: a clear skill, real reps, a partner who tells you the truth, and a belt when you've earned it.

Dr. Aiesha Asmadi after her TEDx talk
We only had four days to work together. Kain was able to find the actress in me. He taught me stage presence, how to command the audience and how to play with my voice, and I found clarity in my own story.

I used to speak in a monotonous way. Now I know how to change my voice, my speed and my technique for each situation, and my patients stay engaged.
Dr. Anna LimClinical oncologist
I can speak much more clearly now, without the filler words. I'm not anxious in public settings, and I communicate better with my team.
JonathanLaw firm partner, Lee Foong Leon & Co
I came in thinking public speaking was a difficult skill to learn. After a few months with Kain, I realised it can be trained.
Mei ChingRegional head, global health organisation
I learned so much in just two days. I'm more confident speaking expressively now, and his tips are clear and practical.
AynaHead of Business Wealth Sales, Affin Bank
He doesn't give you abstract advice like "be yourself". He shows you exactly how to improve, how to apply it, and where your mistakes are.

Questions

Before you join

Do I need any experience?

No. Everyone starts at Level 1, where the first level of each voice element is scripted, so you can focus on how you sound before what you say.

What time are the classes?

Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm Singapore time (SGT, UTC+8). Each class is in your calendar with a reminder the day before. Fight Night is a Saturday every 4 weeks, at 11:30pm Singapore time. Classes for the Americas will be added as members join from there.

I blank or get overwhelmed when I speak. Will this help?

Yes. That's what the Dojo trains first. You practise speaking under small, controlled pressure, a little more each week, so your mind learns to stay clear when it counts.

Can it help with my accent?

Yes. Speed, volume, pause, and rhythm and melody all change how clearly you're understood. Training them helps you reduce a strong accent and speak with clarity, so people understand you the first time.

Can I go at my own pace?

Yes. There's no rush to level up. Each lap you can move up a level or stay and strengthen the one you're on, and you're graded when you're ready, not on a deadline.

What's a founding member?

One of the first 60 members. The first 30 founding spots are $49 a month, the rest $67. You keep your price for as long as you stay a member, and every belt from White to Black is included in your membership. After the 60 spots are gone, new members get the membership up to Blue Belt, and the higher belts come through Fight Camps.

Do I have to have my camera on?

Yes, in class. Speaking is a whole-body skill, and your partners give better feedback when they can see you.

What if I miss a class?

The teaching part of each class is recorded. The reps happen live, so come to the next one, and use the training tools with a partner in between.

Is my video private?

Yes. Your Dojo Test videos are private: they're recorded on your own device and only ever go to Kain, sent by you, for scoring. Nobody else sees them. (Live classes are different: they're recorded, see the terms.)

What currency do you charge in?

US dollars. Cards from most countries work; your bank may add a small currency conversion fee.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: the 90-day money-back guarantee. Do the work for your first 90 days: come to at least 90% of live classes, cameras on and taking part in the reps, and take both tests (Entry and Day 90). If your Dojo Score hasn't gone up, we refund what you've paid. See the details.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time, online, in a couple of clicks. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Go to dialogdojo.co/cancel, or use the "Manage subscription" link in any billing email from Stripe. It's also pinned in the members' group.
